Head of Performance

Since our inception in 2010, we’ve experienced steady growth and can now boast web shops available in more than 30 countries, with new markets opening continuously. At Desenio, you’ll find a wide selection of posters and mounting solutions, such as poster hangers and clips - often inspired by Scandinavian style.

We are currently hiring a Head of Performance to join our team and contribute to our flourishing business. You will be working with performance marketing strategy and execution in all performance channels both regarding new and returning customers. As Head of Performance you play a major role in the Sales & Performance department by being responsible for the traffic, tracking, attribution, efficiency, data analysis, and testing. In close collaboration with the Chief Sales Officer, you will develop effective strategies and tactics to support the achievement of targets and standards on all markets.

Furthermore, you are leading the Performance team of currently 3 employees, covering CRM/Retention, Paid and Organic Search, Paid Social, Video, Display, Cooperations, Affiliates, MGM and 1 to 1 marketing. As an engaged leader you will be mentoring your team and ensure that they have the best prerequisites for accomplishing their goals and building on their strengths.


You will be a part of Sales & Performance, an innovative team with a strong growth mindset. They are supportive, brave and are continuously adapting to new market conditions and opportunities.

As Head of Performance you report to our Chief Sales Officer, which has what his team would call a "trust but verify" management style. He is a strong believer in involving the team managers in setting goals and targets together, and he expects you to plan, have a proactive mindset and self-direct. His management style is to give you the framework of expectations, the freedom to set up your own way of working and to make sure you are doing well by providing helpful directions and to verify the alignment of your results. He could best be described as calm and curious in personality and passionate about e-commerce and development.


  • Lead, coach and inspire the Performance team towards common goals.

  • Budget, develop and execute marketing strategies that are delivered with full awareness of market and business trends, opportunities, threats and efficiency

  • Marketing performance attribution, optimization and execution, including CRM, SEM, SEO, cooperations, and social media marketing

  • Improve and analyze acquisition, retention, automation and customer experience efforts through channel and on-site optimization. 

  • Research best practices across the digital landscape from competitors and emerging brands.

  • Reporting on online sales, marketing performance, and KPIs.


  • A master's degree in a business related or technical field such as Marketing, Information Technology, Business administration, Business development, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or similar. The equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also relevant.

  • A proven and successful track record of leading and developing a team and leading a team from the beginning to the end of a project. 

  • Proven experience working in advanced research and analysis roles in performance marketing within a fast-paced and highly competitive business environment.

  • Experience in managing both acquisition and retention programs and successfully delivering growth and improvement in a business’s marketing performance.

  • Understanding of direct response metrics and an ability to measure channel ROAS and a proven ability to manage SEM, paid social, CRM and SEO.

  • Extremely proficient in Excel and the Gsuite equivalent

  • Experienced in analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Data Studio and similar.

  • Experience of leading presentations and pitches to stakeholders internally and externally.

As a leader you are committed to the development of your team members and drive them to be proactive, self-driven and comfortable in their way of working. Furthermore, you have a strong passion for performance marketing and best-practices within the area. You are not afraid of putting your ideas on the table, in order to create a top of line performance marketing journey.


Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement. 
Extent: This is a full-time position with a start of a 6 months' probation time.  
Location: Stockholm. Our office is beautifully located at Södermalm (due to Covid-19 we are currently mainly working from home)
